Herein are to be found a few subjects of interest I have come upon during my ramblings through life world apart from my desk. The only common thread is that all of them have somehow tickled my brain. Enjoy.

While my formal education is that of a scientist, my interest have always included not only the sciences but also the arts, especially the visual arts. These are reflected in my many hobbies including, among others, painting and sculpting, photography, gardening, cooking and baking, genealogy, woodworking, philosophy, writing, and reading the novels of John le Carré.
